When Harbinger Ideas reached out with a crazy-fun concept involving a branded laundry machine and a whole lot of head-popping photo action, we were all in.

The idea? Guests would literally stick their heads inside a giant laundry machine, and we’d capture the moment — instantly. The activation was part of Sunlight’s “Laundry Should Not Be a Luxury” campaign, and our goal was to help that message hit home in a big, shareable way.

Turning Big Ideas into Reality

This wasn’t your average photo booth rental in Toronto. We collaborated closely with the Harbinger team to engineer a setup that was not just functional, but unforgettable.

From designing a fully branded interior to installing a perfectly positioned camera and lighting setup inside the machine, we focused on creating a seamless, high-energy experience. Every photo told a story and captured the heart of the campaign.

A Simple & Smart Setup

The client wanted it fast and frictionless — no forms, no data collection, just good vibes and fun. We used a 3-second countdown and instant printing to keep things moving. Each guest walked away with a custom-branded print and a QR code to grab their photo digitally.

Over the two-day activation at Dufferin Mall, more than 1,000 people stepped up, posed, and had a blast. Our brand ambassadors kept the flow tight and the smiles genuine.

The (Very) Early Morning Grind

The setup? Let’s just say it required coffee — lots of it. Right after wrapping up a 360 booth activation for African Fashion Week, we pivoted straight to this install. We arrived at the mall at 2am, wrapped the machine in custom graphics, tested all the tech, and were ready to roll by morning.
